1. What is a chair massage?

On-Site Chair Massage is a professional massage session, executed by a kineto-therapist, right at your office or at your chosen event and can last between 5 to 20 minutes. You sit on the massage chair facing forward, with your head in a face rest. You can keep your clothes on and it helps eliminate the tension from all the key zones: head, back of the head, back, shoulders, arms and hands. The massage is performed on an ergonomically designed portable massage chair.

2. How much space is needed?

Not much - only a small 5' x 6' area is needed for the therapist to set up the massage chair and have enough room to move around comfortably.

3. What qualification do our employees have?

Our therapists form a team of renowned specialists that execute a top chair massage.

Besides the chair massage training that took 3 months, all the therapists are qualified in different types of massage, graduates or students at the Bucharest Kineto-therapy University.

4. Do they use oils during the massage?

No oils are used in chair massage.

5. Do I remove my clothing?

No. During a chair massage, you remain fully clothed, though you may be asked to remove a jacket or obstructive jewelry.

6. How long should the massage sessions be?

For conventions, trade-shows and events, we recommend starting with 5 or 10 minute chair massage sessions and adjusting according to traffic. For corporate massage, 15-20 minutes is generally preferable.

7. How often must our employees receive chair massage sessions?

Our clients can offer a chair massage sessions to their employees once or twice a week.

8. When is the best time to have a chair massage sessions?

Anytime, a chair massage sessions is welcomed. Our services are open from Monday till Friday.

9. What are the costs of a chair massage session?

The costs depend on the frequency, the duration of the massage and the number of persons (minimum 20). Here you can find the request of offer for the office and for events. We will contact you as soon as possible.

10. How long before do we have to make a reservation?

It all depends on the dimensions of the event and on the location. Because we have to go from one place to another, even to events outside Bucharest, it would be more than enough for you to make a reservation 10-14 days before. In case we are talking about an event in Bucharest, a week should be enough.

11. What are the locations that you are covering?

The main location is Bucharest, and from June 2008 you will also find us in Cluj. But, in the case of some events, we can go anywhere in the country. No matter where you are - we can find and help you!

12. How is the massage?

The massage session will begin with light, gentle maneuvers that will help the muscular and nervous systems relax. While your body starts to unwind, the pressure will increase gradually in order to help relax the problem areas and to eliminate the tensions at a muscular level. You must immediately communicate to the kineto-therapist if you feel any kind of discomfort! The massage is the most efficient when your body is relaxed and doesn't impose any sort of resistance.

13. Can the therapist adapt to the pressure intensity that I want?

Of course they can. Our therapist will check this thing with each person during the massage, but you should also communicate with the therapist telling him or her which type of pressure you prefer and can stand.

14. How will I feel after the Chair Massage?

During the massage you will feel very relaxed. This state is actually a dose-off (it's not the state of profound sleep) and is very good because it gives the organism the chance to redo and heal itself. While you are heading towards the office you will feel like you are floating and nothing will be able to upset you. One minute later you will feel more vigilant, stress free and without back aches. Then you will suddenly realize that you forgot in the massage room your glasses, your cell phone or your badge - our clients know what we are talking about).

It is best to maximize the benefits of the massage and, later on, drinking a lot of water that helps you hydrate, refresh your organism and eliminate the toxins in your body.

15. Do you offer Gift Certificates?

In case you wish to offer Chair Massage as a present to some employees in the company, or clients, the Gift Certificates are the best choice. You can order minimum 5 certificates (for 5 different people) and we will offer them to you or directly to the persons that you want to enjoy your present. The price of the gift certificates varies with the number of these and the duration of the massage session offered (15 or 20 minutes).

16. How many therapists will I need for my event?

The ideal number of therapists for the event can be determined considering several factors: the number of participants, the available space and the budget. Contact us and we will help you find the best solution.

17. Are there counter indications for Chair Massage?

Yes. Some medical counter indications are:

  • fracture, osteoporosis
  • uncontrollable hypertension, fever, thrombosis
  • uncontrolled diabetes
  • open plague, a skin infection, psoriasis
  • epilepsy
  • maligns tumor

A few of the counter indications will obligate the therapist to use alternative techniques or even to avoid certain areas. Because the massage intensifies the blood circulation, the persons with fever or arterial high blood pressure are refused, because there is the possibility to worsen the situation.

There are precautions, like:

  • hernia
  • pregnancy

For pregnant women: in general, in case you don't have a troubled pregnancy, you can have Chair Massage, especially after the first trimester. Just in case, please announce the therapist if you are pregnant, for him to have the possibility to change certain positions and maneuvers. There will be made more gentle maneuvers and the pressure with the hands in the lower area of the back and that of the thumb will be replaced with other maneuvers.
